Childhood Re-visit

Trying to see the world through a 14 year old

When sincere love still exist

Wish the naivety will still last

Trying to remember the last time I was really in love

not just being infatuated

I smiled…

Alright these two drawings are re-visit of my teenage days. Isn’t it funny when you’re a child and you can’t wait to grow up and now that you’re an adult you wish you were a child again?

I love my adulthood but memories of innocent kisses still make me smile.

Simple shots by the couch. I should have widen the aperture for better depth effect. Finally some serious pictures of Jenn. A combination of strobe and still lights were used for the late evening feel.

I was saddened by the news of the Virginia Tech killing. In my opinion it is something inevitable. With all the news coverage of the tragedy it totally affected me as well. I just picked up my pen and starting drawing…

I love my life and truly appreciate everything I have. I can’t imagine living his life. Full of hatred.

Just done with Lin’s shot today. One of most fun and tiring shots I have ever taken. Lindsay was really easy to work with. She was a natural poser and she has sharp features. Perfect for the camera.

Jennifer

Totally mixed… mud some would call it. Japanese, Filipino, Irish, Hawaiian and Portuguese all mixed together.

I couldn’t keep Jenn to stay still (or I couldn’t get Jenn to stay still). Since arriving she was hogging my tv and flipping through my 200 channels. She was too bubbly. moving around and making fun of herself. dancing to my music and laughing. I wanted ’serious deep in thought’ shots but it just didn’t work out at first. Since I had 2 gigs of memory I just keptep shooting anyway. After 20 mins into the shooting I finally got to calm her down. She was more relaxed… Something just hit her and it was perfect for me… At this time her bubbliness had hit me.

It is only headshots because she wants to be in shape first before we go on with full body shots. I admit these are not creative shots. Theyre were was spontaneous. The few things I would change are ironing my muslin before the shoot, turning off my ISO assist (a little too much noise) and only wished that Jenn showed me her black earrings earlier. I know her mom personally so I have to kinda know the boundary bearing in mind that her mom is going to see these pictures… :)

In case you guys are wondering… NO, SHE IS NOT NUDE while shooting.
Oh only after the photoshoot did I notice her beautiful golden tanned skin.

Alright, my cover band ‘Last Minute’ was invited by the Taiwanese Student Association of San Francisco State University for a 30-mins performance as a guest. We had fun!!! It totally bonded the band together and after all the practice, moving, soundcheck and finally the performance it was totally worth it. We all went home with a big smile on our faces…Super thanks to Lisa Chang the PR of TSA for the Coffees and the VVIP treatment. Thanks to the whole SFSU singing competition crew for the great experience.

Sorry for those whose pics didn’t appear here. I can’t be there all the time and trust me being a drummer and dragging the drums around wasn’t easy.

For anyone who wants a higher resolution of their pictures, you can email me at murkie@murkieworld.com with the file that you want. Ohh yeah in case you guys are wondering why you look thinner and better in the picture, it has been photoshopped… :)

Have a great day…

Lonely San Francisco

Posted by admin in Miscellaneous

Went to San Francisco last Saturday to check out the stage our band is going to play on. So manyuch memories of this place. Used to live here and I hated it. Maybe because I had bad experience in this beautiful city. We went strolling around after San Francisco State University’s TSA Singing Competition.

San Francisco… Gloomy and wet weather, people dining alone, walking in the street without a direction. It sure brought back lots of memories…

Some random pictures I took…

Filled with emotions…

Lonely San Francisco

Now there’s a reason why I put this pic in there middle. I really like it. When I first saw it on my laptop it made me stare at it for a while. I felt like there’s was something that the picture iwas trying to tell me… It made me think… about life, about appearance, about human social behavior. Probably my favorite picture on this site so far… taken inside San Francisco State University on a Saturday afternoon.
